The Mac FTP client program recommended by us is Fetch. Under system 7.5, it features a drag and drop interface, and is easily configured.
You can download it by clicking
here. Please be aware that there is a shareware fee involved, please
honor the creators of the software and pay the fee if you decide to continue
using it.
When you are preparing files for upload please note that the server uses case-sensitive file names. We recommend using lowercase for all filenames. You should also stick to the character set including a-z, 0-9, dash, dot and underscore. Spaces in filenames are not allowed.
Compress your files using a program such as Stuffit or Diskdoubler, and create a self-extracting archive (.sea) from the file. You should also encode the file using BinHex or in MacBinary.* (MacBinary actually results in a slightly smaller file size, and works just as well as BinHex).
*(If you use Fetch to mainly send DTP files, it can be configured to encode the .sea file as BinHex or MacBinary under Customize: Preferences: Upload).
