For certain types of printing, a "work and turn" can give you 2 sided printing at a greatly reduced cost since there's less labor involved on the press.
Run your piece two-up on a sheet, one front and one back, positioned head to head. One side of the sheet is printed, the sheet is turned over and it's run back through the press again. This puts the same image - your front and back - on the second side of the sheet without additional plates or set up.
How to achieve this:
A work and turn is appropriate for certain types of jobs and does cut your available sheet size in half since everything must be symmetrical.
